Regarding the Special Summary Revision, Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra organized a press conference today and told the media that on the occasion of publication of the draft voter list on July 25, the draft voter list will be displayed by the BLO at all polling stations.
He appealed to all the voters to go to their polling booth on the morning of 25th July and check their names in the voter list. If there is any discrepancy, immediately inform your BLO. If people want, they can also check their name from home through the Election Commission's Voter Helpline App or Voter Service Portal.
He said that voters can also check their names in the voter list through SMS from their mobile. For this, write ECI from your registered number, then leave a space and write your voter identity card (EPIC) number and send a message to 1950, information related to voter registration will be available through the message itself.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Special Summary Revision is important for the upcoming assembly elections. The Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, is also constantly monitoring it.

Otherwise, at the time of elections, complaints are received from some places that they have voter ID card but their name is not in the voter list. This *#NaamJancho* campaign is being run to avoid such unexpected situations during the upcoming elections.
He said that to create more awareness among the general voters regarding name checking, a social media campaign #NaamJancho is being run on July 25 between 12 noon to 1 pm.

The Deputy Commissioner said that a special campaign would be run on 27th and 28th July and 3rd and 4th August 2024 (Saturday and Sunday) and the final publication of the voter list would be done on 20th August 2024.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed again and said that the youth who have turned 18 years old by 1 July 2024, the new daughter-in-law who has come to the house after marriage or the left out voters must get their names added to the voter list from 25 July to 9 August 2024. At the same time, if any member of the family has died, then get their name removed from the voter list.
