Samastipur, May 24 (HS). Director Extension Education Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University Pusa Krishi Vigyan Kendra Birauli started a four-day training program on commercial goat rearing today. Youth from the district participated in this training program. On this occasion, Dr. S. Kundu said that goat rearing is a profitable business for poor and marginal farmers.
The program was inaugurated by Director Extension Education Dr. M.S. Kundu Sir. On this occasion, Dr. Manish Kumar, Veterinary Officer, Tajpur, Dr. RP Singh, Senior Scientist cum Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Narkatiaganj, Dr. RK Tiwari, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Birauli, Ms. Abhilipsa Biswal, Subject Matter Specialist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Birauli were present.
In his address, the Director of Extension Education provided detailed information to all the trainers about how goat rearing should be done so that they get maximum profit. Along with this, the main discussion was on its diet and various types of breed management. Veterinary Officer Dr. Manish Kumar provided information about various types of schemes being run by the Government of Bihar and the Government of India.
Dr. R.P. Singh provided information on how goat rearing is done in Bettiah district to all. Dr. R.K. Tiwari, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Birauli, told that goat rearing is a boon for poor farmers. They can improve their livelihood by rearing goats. If this is done scientifically, we can get maximum benefits from it.
