Raipur, 24 September (HS). Representatives of legislatures from across the country are present in the executive committee of the tenth Commonwealth Parliamentary Association India region held in India. During this, a committee of the three states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan has been formed. Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh has been chosen as its coordinator. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani are members of the committee.

In the meeting of this committee held in Parliament House today, it has been decided that one parliamentary programme will be organised in all these three states, in which this programme is proposed in Chhattisgarh probably in January 2025.

Outreach programmes for Panchayati Raj Institutions, Outreach programmes for Urban Local Bodies, Outreach programmes for Young Legislators, Outreach programmes for Women Legislators will be organised in this programme. Conference of Standing Committees/Finance Committees of States/UTs, Capacity Building Programmes for Legislators, programmes especially on use of modern technology, study tours, Youth Parliament/Youth Conference, events commemorating important public figures, Constitution of India, Parliamentary Democracy etc. will also be organised. Besides this, specific programmes targeting women, students and youth and topics like training in legislative drafting will also be part of these parliamentary programmes.
