Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Committee Shimla planted trees in Shoghi | News India

Shimla, 27 August (HS). Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Committee, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh planted 101 deodar and ban trees in the areas around Shoghi. During this, children especially participated in planting trees. Committee treasurer Mukul Sood said that Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Committee organizes many programs including various service works from time to time and this year 101 deodar and ban trees were planted on the occasion of this program.

He said that the objective of this program is to increase environmental protection and make people aware about plantation. He said that plants also play an important role in maintaining the fertility of the soil and keeping the climate balanced. Meanwhile, Mukul Sood appealed to the people to plant as many trees as possible.

On this occasion, committee member Moti Lal Gautam, while throwing light on plantation and forest conservation, said that plantation is a great effort in the field of life protection on earth. He said that trees and plants are our life because they provide us oxygen and forests purify the air. Moti Lal said that without water and proper maintenance, plants perish, hence the committee has also taken the responsibility of protecting the plants after planting them.

On this occasion, committee chairman Ajay Sood, treasurer Mukul Sood, members Motilal Gautam and Vijay, Nandlal, Krishna Murari, Rupa Verma, Anchal, Vaishnavi, Ishita, Dhyesh Verma, Neetu Verma, Prince and many other workers and local people participated enthusiastically in the tree plantation programme.
