Dr. Atul Verma became the new DGP of Himachal Pradesh, Chief Secretary issued orders

1991 batch IPS officer Dr. Atul Verma has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Himachal Pradesh. After the consent of the Election Department, the government has appointed Atul Verma as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Himachal Pradesh with immediate effect.

Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has issued orders in this regard on Wednesday. After the retirement of Sanjay Kundu, Dr. Atul Verma has been appointed Director General of Police. Atul Verma is originally from Jharkhand. He had returned to Himachal from central deputation only two months ago. Atul Verma will retire on 31 May 2025.
