Jammu, July 17 (HS). President (Minister of State) Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Wednesday visited Dub Sadat in Ganderbal on the occasion of Moharram and participated in the procession organized to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his family and companions in Karbala while fighting for the truth. He carried the flag of Imam Hussain (AS) after joining a huge gathering of followers of the great Imam. He was accompanied by Syed Sajjad Rizvi and Mohammad Amin Bhat and others.
Andrabi visited Imambaras in Mohalla Saad, Thokarpora and Malik Mohalla of the area and attended holy congregations. She also attended seva for lovers of Imam Ibn-e-Ali at various places. Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi paid obeisance at the shrine of Shaheed Mir Syed Daniyal (RA) and prayed for peace and brotherhood for all humanity. Dr. Andrabi addressed congregations at various places and paid tribute to the great Imam.
He said the great Imam Hussain is my great ancestor and he is the guide of the entire humanity. His life is the brightest example of perseverance against evil, cruelty and immorality. His supreme sacrifice is unique in the entire history and he stands as a unique inspiration for the entire humanity. He said that it is mandatory for every follower of the great Prophet of Islam to understand Karbala and Ashura.
