Kanpur, 31 July (HS). Scientists should put more emphasis on making Krishi Vigyan Kendras models. If farmers get the benefit of this, their economic condition will be strengthened. This was said by the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Anand Kumar Singh in a meeting held at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur on Wednesday.
He said that the latest technology should be made available to farmers and all units established at the center should be kept well organized, besides, the seed production program should be run successfully on the center's field.
He saw the presentation of the work done by all the centre in-charges in the past year. The Vice Chancellor also instructed everyone to make the latest technology available to the farmers and keep all the units established at the centre well organized. Apart from this, the seed production program should be successfully conducted on the centre's field. So that new and quality seeds of crops can be made available to the farmers.
CSA media in-charge Dr. Khalil Khan said that the Vice Chancellor discussed extension programmes with 15 Krishi Vigyan Kendra in-charges on Wednesday. The Vice Chancellor also reviewed the work of National Agricultural Development Scheme and Centre of Excellence. On this occasion, in-charges and presidents of all the centres including Dr. Karam Hussain, Dr. PK Rathi, Dr. Sohanlal Verma, Dr. VK Kanaujia were present.
