New Delhi. The prestigious DPS RK Puram school of the capital Delhi received an email threatening bomb blast on Saturday morning. After this email, there was panic in the school administration and police department. Teams of Delhi Police and Fire Brigade immediately reached the spot and started investigation.
Threat for the second time in the last 24 hours
It is noteworthy that on Friday also 16 schools in Delhi had received bomb threats. After this threat, there was chaos in the schools and schools were closed as a precautionary measure.
44 schools had received threats five days ago
Earlier on December 9, more than 44 schools in Delhi had received threatening emails in which a ransom of 30 thousand dollars was demanded. At that time too, police, fire department, bomb squad and dog squad had conducted an intensive search operation in the schools, but no suspicious object was found.

Police registered the case
Delhi Police has registered a case of criminal intimidation and conspiracy. According to the police, this is a well-planned conspiracy on the part of those who made the threat. During the investigation, the police searched every nook and corner of the schools, but no suspicious object was found in any school.
Panic among parents, precaution in schools
As soon as the information about the threat was received, parents reached the school to collect their children. The school administration took the children out in a queue. Cambridge School Principal Madhavi Goswami said that online classes were held on Friday due to security reasons.
Constant threats are being received in 2024
Bomb threat incidents are increasing in Delhi this year:
- August: 100 hospitals and shopping malls in NCR received threat emails.
- AIIMS, Safdarjung, Fortis (Vasant Kunj), Sir Ganga Ram (Rajendra Nagar), and Manipal Hospital (Dwarka) were threatened.
- May: More than 150 schools in NCR were threatened with bombs.
- December: 44 schools in Delhi received bomb threats.
