Jaipur, July 12 (HS). Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra told the assembly on Friday that DPR will be prepared after the appointment of traffic transport consultant for metro expansion in Jaipur city. He said that tender has been issued on July 6 for the appointment of consultant for survey DPR of metro expansion on possible routes.
The Urban Development Minister was answering the supplementary questions asked by the members in this regard during the Question Hour. He assured the House that the suggestions received from the public representatives will also be included in this DPR.
Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Gopal Sharma, the Urban Development Minister said that in view of the increasing population of Jaipur city, a DPR was prepared by conducting a survey for the expansion of Phase-1 from Badi Chaupad to Transport Nagar and Mansarovar to Ajmer Road Chauraha. After approval, this work is in progress. He placed the related survey report on the table of the House.
Kharra said that for the second phase of the metro, updating and revision of DPR-2020 from Sitapur to Ambabadi and survey work for extension from Ambabadi to Vidyadhar Nagar is proposed as per the Vote on Account 2024-25.
