Dozens of houses burnt down due to fire, property worth lakhs lost

Barabanki 17 March (HS). About a dozen thatched houses were burnt to ashes in a sudden fire on Wednesday afternoon in Itahua village under Tehsil Ramsanehighat. Three buffaloes were burnt and injured. On getting information about the arson, Minister of State of Uttar Pradesh Government, Satish Sharma reached the spot and inquired about the condition of the affected families and asked for financial assistance.

In this incident, property worth more than three lakh rupees was burnt to ashes. The fire was so severe that no item could be taken out of the house. The valuables of the house along with cash up to Rs. were burnt to ashes. The fire first started from the house of Ambarish son Ashrafi Lal and due to strong winds, it engulfed dozens of hut-like houses nearby.

The house of son Ram Aadhar and all the material kept in the house was washed away by water. On receiving the information, the Revenue Department team reached the spot, assessed the loss and informed the higher officials. Minister of State in the government, Satish Sharma said that soon the benefits available at the government level will also be given to the affected families.
