What has Odisha achieved over the years? : PM Modi

Prime Minister Modi started his rally by raising slogans of Jai Jagannath and Jai Shri Ram. Attacking the BJD government, the Prime Minister told the people that 'You trusted the BJD government for 25 years. But today people are wondering what Odisha has achieved in so many years? Even today farmers are troubled here. Youth are turning to other states for employment. The tribal areas which have water, forests, land and mineral wealth are the most endangered. Most migration takes place from these areas. I have already told the date of swearing in. I have come to invite everyone that the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP's double engine government will be held in Odisha on June 10. The departure of the BJD government is certain.

Who ruined Odisha?

Prime Minister Modi further said in his address, 'Why are people forced to live in such poverty in such a prosperous Odisha? I have come from the land of Somnath to salute the land of Jagannath. But I feel sad when I see the poverty of Odisha. Such a prosperous state, such a great heritage, who ruined my Odisha? Who crushed the dreams of the youth? All these things cause a lot of trouble.

BJD government committed corruption

Taking a dig at the BJD government on corruption, Prime Minister Modi said that after becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, I made a new mining policy. Under this, Odisha gets more royalty. We made a rule that a part of the mineral earnings should remain here and be used for the development of the people. We have given Rs 26 thousand crore to Odisha under Mineral Fund. This money was to be spent on children's schools and village roads in Dhenkanal. But the BJD government indulged in corruption in this also.
