Double engine government has given new strength to the respect, facilities and social security of employees: Keshav Prasad Maurya.


Lucknow, 12 September 2026. Today, at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Center in Lucknow, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya ji participated as the chief guest in the 60th provincial convention of the Uttar Pradesh Ministerial Collectorate Employees Association, Uttar Pradesh. There he congratulated the Collectorate employees for the convention and said that the employees play an important role in implementing the plans and policies of the government on the ground. Employees are a strong link between the public and the government, hence taking care of their interests, respect and facilities is the priority of the government.

Shri Maurya ji said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji, the double engine government of the state has continuously given priority to the interests of the employees since the year 2017. Continuous work has been done towards strengthening salaries, dearness allowance, medical facilities, retirement benefits, service related arrangements and digital functioning. Dearness allowance for state employees was increased from time to time and the system of increasing the maximum limit of gratuity benefit for retired employees to Rs 25 lakh when the dearness allowance is 50 percent was implemented.

He said that the government has also paid special attention to providing better health facilities to the employees. Cashless medical facility was expanded in the year 2026 for teachers and personnel of basic education sector and their dependent families, due to which a large number of teachers and personnel were benefited.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is not to consider the employee merely a part of the administrative system, but to consider it an important partner in the development journey. Collectorate employees perform their responsibilities in many important tasks including revenue, certificates, public hearing, elections, law and order. The government is working by maintaining a better balance between employee interest and public interest.

He said that cooperation of employees is necessary for transparent, accountable and sensitive administration. The government is working with a positive approach to solve the legitimate problems of the employees.

He appealed to the employees to contribute in building a developed Uttar Pradesh by serving the public with full devotion, honesty and sensitivity.
