Double blow to Pakistan cricket, this veteran refused to become coach after Watson

Pakistan cricket team has been searching for a head coach for a long time. The head coach of the team stepped down after the shameful performance in the ODI World Cup played in India. Since then the team is facing many problems. Pakistan has recently won only one match on the tour of Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, PCB is looking for foreign coaches. Under which a proposal was sent to make Shane Watson the head coach. He rejected this proposal. After this, another international cricketer has rejected the offer to become the head coach of Pakistan. Due to which PCB has got a big blow. This former player is none other than Darren Sammy who has refused to become the coach of Pakistan cricket team.

Darren Sammy said this

Darren Sammy has rejected the offer to become the head coach of Pakistan, due to which PCB's search for a foreign coach has not been completed. Sammy told the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) that he has already signed a contract with the West Indies Board as the head coach of the limited overs team. Watson became upset when details of his proposed package emerged in Pakistani media and social media. He rejected PCB's offer and returned home on Saturday night. Informed sources said senior PCB officials had spoken to Watson in Karachi during the PSL matches and offered him the head coach position.

For this reason Watson refused

In the Pakistan team bid case, the source said that Watson showed interest initially and put forward some money and other conditions to accept the offer. After the board accepted Watson's financial demands, the former player was unhappy that details of his proposed package were leaked to the Pakistan media and social media. Watson later declined the offer, citing his prior commitments as a commentator in the IPL (Indian Premier League) and Major Cricket League (USA). He wants to spend more time with his family in Sydney.

According to Pakistani media, the PCB had agreed to pay Watson $2 million (approximately Rs 16.60 crore) per year. The board is now considering appointing a local coach on an interim basis for the five-match home T20 International series against New Zealand starting on April 14.
