Dehradun, 03 December (HS). Semi-final matches of Dr. RP Nainwal Memorial Inter Cricket Tournament organized by Uttaranchal Press Club were played today. In which the first semi-final match was played between Doon Lions vs Doon Champions. In the first match, Doon Lions defeated by 41 runs and made it to the final. The second semi-final match was played between Doon King Riders vs Doon Daredevils, where Doon Daredevils defeated by 06 wickets and made it to the final.
The final match of Dr. RP Nainwal Memorial Inter Cricket Tournament will be played between Doon Lions vs Doon Daredevils at Police Lines, Race Course on Wednesday from 10 am.
On this occasion, outgoing Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama said that this tournament is not only a medium to increase the enthusiasm for cricket in our region but it also strengthens the spirit of unity and cooperation in the society through sports. Cricket is a game which not only improves physical fitness but also develops qualities like mental concentration, teamwork and discipline. I express my gratitude to all the organizers, players and spectators involved in organizing this tournament. Also, I request all of you to follow the spirit of sportsmanship and make this event a memorable experience.
Devendra Singh Monty, the outgoing councilor of the second match, said that the journalist cricket players will get a great opportunity to showcase their talent through this tournament, and I am confident that they will prove their superiority in the field of play.
