Jammu, June 16 (HS). As a significant support and symbol of goodwill, Indian Army has donated desks and other essential items worth Rs 2 lakh to Government Higher Secondary School Rabta under Operation Sadbhavana. At the handover ceremony, Mohan Lal Bhagat, Senior Superintendent of Police and SO of ADGP Railways was the Chief Guest of the program while young social worker Atul Sudan was the Guest of Honour who handed over the desks and other items to the school staff and children in the presence of former Sarpanch Gorda Ashwani Kumar, former Sarpanch Keri Nashtar Singh, former Sarpanch Rabta Mohammad Anwar, and former Sarpanch Neelam Devi Bagani and other eminent people of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Mohan Lal Bhagat appreciated this noble initiative of the Indian Army and emphasized the importance of education in nation building. He hoped that the new desks and equipment would create a more conducive learning environment for the students and motivate them to continue their studies with more enthusiasm.
Atul Sudan praised the Indian Army's continued efforts to uplift local communities through Operation Sadbhavana.
