During the American election season, every effort is being made to connect different communities. On the occasion of Diwali, former President Donald Trump has said a big thing about the Hindus of Bangladesh. While wishing Diwali, he strongly criticized the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Republican Party presidential candidate Trump said that Bangladesh is in a state of complete anarchy. He alleged that his Democratic Party rival and current Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden have neglected Hindus around the world and in the US.

“I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians and other minorities in Bangladesh, who were attacked and looted by mobs,” Trump said in a post. There is an atmosphere of complete anarchy in Bangladesh.

It is noteworthy that this is the first time that Trump has spoken on the issue of Bangladesh. Hundreds of Hindus were killed in Bangladesh in July–August when student agitation turned into massive violent protests. The former President pledged to strengthen relations with India. Along with this, he described PM Narendra Modi as his good friend.

Trump said, in my administration we will also strengthen our great partnership with India and my good friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The former President said, Happy Diwali to all. I hope this festival of lights will ensure the victory of Achai over evil.
