News India Live, Digital Desk: International Relations: Former US President Donald Trump has once again sensationally claimed that when a war -like situation between India and Pakistan was created, his personal intervention reduced tension and a major possible war was averted. He clearly stated that during the increasing tension between the two neighboring countries, when the situation -like situations were formed, it was the result of their efforts that peace could be established.
Trump emphasized that he had ‘very good relations’ with both Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the then Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, due to which he could be able to mediate effectively. According to him, the two leaders could “talk well to him.” Trump has often reiterated the claim that he played an important role in calming the relations between the two countries, especially when military tension in the region was at its peak when the Pulwama terror attack and subsequent air struggles.
This is not the first time Donald Trump has claimed such a claim. During his tenure and even then, he has repeated this on public forums many times, presenting himself as a successful global mediator. There has always been an international discussion and analysis about his claims, but Trump has been constantly maintained on his statement that he played an important role in avoiding a major struggle in South Asia. His latest statement once again shows his attitude on his diplomatic ‘successes’.
