Domestic and foreign liquor recovered in excise department raid

Ranchi, 22 October (HS). In view of the assembly elections, in the intensive raid campaign against illegal liquor, the team of Excise Department has arrested two people with liquor. Under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Excise and supervision of Inspector of Excise, the District Excise team conducted raids in Rajaullatu of Namkum police station area, Kurgi village of Itki police station, Pipertoli of Argora police station and Jajpur village of Nagdi police station.

During the raid, two scooters, 100 liters of illicit liquor, 136 liters of foreign liquor of different brands and 62 liters of beer were recovered from different places. Two accused were arrested from the spot while two absconded. Absconding case is being registered against the accused who absconded from the spot under relevant sections of the Excise Act.
