As far as the inside of the eye is concerned, inside is the retina, which contains light-sensitive tissue that works to produce vision. If the retina is deprived of blood, it causes hypoxia, that is, the retinal tissue lacks oxygen. This phenomenon can cause bleeding in the retina.
