The University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 exam will be conducted on June 18, 2024 in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift will run from 3 pm to 6 pm. NTA will conduct the exam for 83 subjects in a single day. NTA has released the admit card on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Application number and date of birth will be required to download the admit card.

It is strictly prohibited to carry electronic items like mobile phones, smart watches, camera or Bluetooth devices and storage devices like pen drives, flash drives, memory cards inside the UGC NET exam hall. If a student is caught, strict action can be taken. You can also be barred from giving the exam. Candidates should not cheat or misbehave with the invigilators at the exam center. Due to this law, candidates may be deprived of the exam and legal action can also be taken.

Wear comfortable clothes as per the dress code of the exam centre. Avoid wearing any kind of jewellery or embroidery or clothes with pockets, as this may arouse suspicion during the exam.

Keep these 5 things in mind

1. Candidates must carry at least 2 government issued photo IDs along with the UGC NET admit card. The photo ID can be anything like Aadhaar card, voter card, PAN card, driving license or passport etc.

2. Candidates are advised to carry the same photo ID which they had used in the UGC NET June 2024 application form.

3. Candidates must reach the UGC NET exam centre at least 30-40 minutes before the reporting time.

4. Candidates should avoid making mistakes while filling the attendance sheet while sitting in the examination hall.

5. Candidates must carry at least two black or blue ball point pens. Apart from this, other stationery like pencil, eraser, scale etc. can also be kept.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

The UGC NET exam consists of two papers with objective type questions. Candidates are given three hours to solve 150 questions to complete both the papers. Paper 1 is common and compulsory for all candidates. Paper 2 is different for different subjects. The UGC NET syllabus for Paper 1 consists of 10 units, 5 questions will be asked from each unit. Paper 1 will have 50 questions and Paper 2 will have 100 questions and each question will carry 2 marks. There is no provision of negative marking in the UGC NET exam.
