Yoga is an ancient science that keeps both our body and mind healthy. There are some special yoga asanas, which if done daily for a few minutes can strengthen your immunity and protect you from seasonal diseases.

1. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)

This asana is very beneficial for your chest and lungs. In winter, there is often a complaint of accumulation of phlegm in the chest, this asana helps in removing it.

  • How to do: Lie down on your stomach. Place your palms on the ground below your shoulders. Now while inhaling, slowly raise the front part of your body till the navel. Stay in this position for a few seconds and then come back while exhaling.
  • Benefit: This asana also has a good effect on the digestive organs and improves the flow of oxygen in the body, which increases immunity.

2. Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)

This yoga asana brings a stretch to the entire body and improves blood circulation. When blood circulation in the body is good, the white blood cells that fight diseases can easily reach the entire body.

  • How to do: Stand straight by maintaining a distance of about 3-4 feet between both the legs. Now slowly move your right hand down towards the straight leg and keep the opposite hand straight up towards the sky. Keep your eyes on the upper hand. Repeat the same process from the other side also.
  • Benefit: It also helps in reducing stress. Reducing stress also strengthens our immunity.

3. Matsyasana (Fish Pose)

This asana opens the muscles of the throat and chest, which improves the breathing process. It also stimulates the thyroid gland, which plays an important role in controlling our metabolism and energy levels.

  • How to do: Lie on your back and tuck your hands under your hips. Now while inhaling, raise your chest and rest the upper part of the head on the ground. Keep the entire weight on the elbows, not on the neck.
  • Benefit: This asana removes the tension of the neck and upper back and makes the body energetic.

You do not need to work hard for hours to include these yogasanas in your daily routine. By taking out just 15-20 minutes every morning, you can keep yourself healthy and full of energy in winter.
