Google maps down: Think, you are in a new place, you are hungry and you open Google Maps in your phone so that you can find a good restaurant around, but … you don’t get anything! The maps looks absolutely empty.

Yes, a similar strange incident is happening today with millions of Android and iPhone (iOS) users around the world. Suddenly people’s Google Maps have stopped working, or simply say that they are showing the way, but not showing any place, shop, restaurant or location.

Suddenly all the listings disappeared

There has been a flood of complaints on social media, especially Twitter (now x). People are sharing the screenshots getting upset and asking “Is only my google maps spoiled?”. Users say that when they search at some place, the pin is seen on the map, but the name, details or photo of that place, nothing is visible.

This is causing the most problems for those who run the cab daily, deliver food or are completely dependent on Google Maps to go to a new place. This problem is coming on both app and website.

Do Google know about this disturbance?

Initially, it felt that it would probably be the problem of someone’s phone or network, but when thousands of people made the same complaint, it was clear that the mess is from Google. Although Google has not issued any official statement on this till the time of this news is written, but it is expected that their team would have started fixing this big flaw.

This incident also reminds us how much we have become more dependent on technology. The disturbances in a small app can also create a lot of trouble in our everyday life.

At the moment, until it is cured, perhaps we have to resort to ask people like the old days! Hopefully Google will solve the problem of this “blank map” as soon as possible.
