sensitive skin: People often try different measures to take care of their skin. But even if you can't take too much care of your skin, you should still follow a basic skin care routine called CTM routine. In this, you should use toner after cleansing your skin. Regardless of your skin type, toner is a skin care essential product.

It is usually seen that girls who have sensitive skin avoid using products available in the market and prefer to make their own skin care products at home. If you want, you can also make toner at home.

However, when you are making toner for your sensitive skin, you should avoid using some ingredients. This can harm your skin. So today in this article, we are telling you about some such ingredients which are not considered good to use while making homemade toner for sensitive skin.

Mint
Often mint extract or menthol etc. are used in skin care products. This gives a cooling sensation to your skin. But if you are making a toner for your sensitive skin then avoid using it. This can cause irritation, redness and even allergies in your skin. If you want to cool your skin then it is a good idea to use rose water instead of mint.

cinnamon
Most people like to include cinnamon in their skin care routine. But the use of cinnamon or cloves etc. is not considered good for sensitive skin. This can cause severe skin irritation. Toner containing cinnamon can cause redness, irritation and allergy problems in your skin. This is a spice that can be very harsh on your sensitive skin.

Lemon juice
Lemon juice should also be avoided while making homemade toner for sensitive skin. Actually, it is very acidic in nature. Due to which it can cause irritation and dryness in your skin. Not only this, it also increases the sensitivity of your skin to sunlight, causing the skin to get sunburned. If you are making toner at home, then use cucumber juice or aloe vera juice instead of lemon juice. It is soothing and hydrating, which gives relief to sensitive skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar
However, apple cider vinegar has anti-bacterial properties, making it an excellent ingredient for skin care. But due to its acidic nature, it can disturb the natural pH balance of the skin, causing irritation and dryness in sensitive skin. So, try using green tea instead of apple cider vinegar when making a toner. It has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a good option for sensitive skin.
