Do not use mosques for protests, no need to be afraid of CAA: Maulana Rashid

Lucknow: Maulana Khalid Rashid Faregi Mahali, member of 'All India Muslim Personal Law Board' (AIMPLB) has appealed to the Muslim community regarding the 'Citizenship Research Act' (2019) CAA that there is no need to panic about the CAA. I request everyone to remain calm. Mosques should be used only for offering prayers. Not for any kind of protest.

He said that our legal team is studying the diagnosis, we will present the findings to the public.

He said that the government is continuously saying that everyone should maintain peace so that this law does not take away anyone's citizenship. No one needs to be afraid. Ignore rumors and stay away from misleading messages on social media.

On the other hand, CAA, administration and police are on high alert in view of the month of Ramzan. In view of the anti-CAA protests, the ancient clock tower of Lucknow has been heavily cordoned off. Barricading has been arranged around the clock tower. Along with the police force, BSF has also been deployed. Police have asked everyone to remain calm and stay away from rumors and not share any information with others until its authenticity is known.
