Do not ignore these symptoms during allergy…follow this expert's advice

Allergies can be of different types. Most people do not take it seriously, but by identifying and preventing allergies, we can save our lives and the lives of others. For this purpose, a special seminar and awareness program was organized by the Department of Respiratory Medicine, King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow under the leadership of Indian College of Allergy, Asthma and Applied Immunology (ICAAI) and World Allergy Organization. The program focused on the two main allergy problems urticaria and angioedema.

This program was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Surya Kant, Head of the Department. Professor Rajeev Garg says that the program was organized specifically for this, so that people can understand about the condition of allergy. The program provided in-depth information on the causes, symptoms and modern treatment options available for those conditions.

The main symptom of angioedema is a red and itchy rash on the skin, commonly known as hives. Dr. Rajeev Garg said that these rashes can be caused by various reasons like allergy, infection, medicine or stress. During this lecture, participants were given a deeper understanding of the pathophysiology of these conditions and taught what differentiates the different forms of these conditions. Professor Surya Kant said that diagnosis and treatment of complications of allergic conditions is important. He stressed that doctors must gain access to the latest information and adopt practical strategies to care for affected patients in challenging circumstances.

Dr. Rajiv Garg elaborated on the pathophysiology of urticaria and angioedema and explained the methods of their diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile, he also discussed identifying common triggers and risk factors associated with these conditions. Apart from this, he also talked about the latest advancements in diagnostic techniques like skin testing and laboratory testing.
