Do not give vehicles to your minor children, if caught, action will be taken against the parents

Gurugram, 27 July (HS). Traffic Police Gurugram started a special awareness campaign to not let children drive at an early age. During the campaign, the message was also given that if a child below 18 years of age is caught driving, then his parents will be held guilty. Action will be taken against them.

Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Virender Vij, with the help of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) West Jai Singh, Traffic Inspector Rajveer Singh and RSO team, a special underage driving awareness campaign was started at MDI Chowk Gurugram. The main objective was to not allow students/youths below 18 years of age to drive any type of vehicle. The purpose was to educate the students and their parents about the dangers and laws of underage driving. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) West Jai Singh said that underage driving is a serious issue, which endangers the lives of young drivers and other road users.

Through this campaign, people were educated about the risks associated with driving at a young age, the importance of parental supervision, the legal consequences of allowing minors to drive and their responsibilities, and the steps to be taken to prevent this dangerous activity. A program was organized in this regard at DAV Public School, Sector 14. The traffic police also made parents aware during the PTM held in the school. Parents were told that if a child is caught driving at an early age, his parents will be held guilty. Action will also be taken against them.
