The latest case is related to the statement of Tejashwi Yadav, in which he described Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as his ‘captain’ and his ‘soldier’. This statement of Tejashwi has not appeared to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Lalu Prasad Yadav’s old colleague and now BJP MP from Pataliputra Ramkripal Yadav has launched a scathing attack on Tejashwi and accused him of doing Rahul Gandhi’s “Chamchagiri”.
Taking a dig at Tejashwi, Ramkripal Yadav said, “Tejashwi ji should not become a hanger. The way he is shining Rahul Gandhi, he has crossed all the boundaries.” He reminded Tejashwi of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav’s political struggles and said that Lalu ji fought his entire life against the policies and dynasty of the Congress.
He further said, “Tejashwi ji, your father opposed the Congress by following the principles of leaders like JP and Lohia. But you are insulting your father’s struggle and his legacy in the fascination of the chair and power. It is shameful.”
Ramkripal Yadav, who was once considered one of the closest leaders of Lalu Prasad, said that Tejashwi Yadav’s praise to Rahul Gandhi like this is a direct insult to Lalu ji. He said in a warning tone that the people of Bihar and especially the Yadav society will never forgive this “Chamchagiri”.
It is worth noting that during the recent ‘Bharat Jin Nyaya Yatra’ of Rahul Gandhi in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav praised Rahul Gandhi from the stage. At the same time, he had said this ‘Captain’ and ‘Soldier’, after which a new controversy has arisen in Bihar politics.
