In view of the crowd, it has been said to keep additional trains on standby if needed and open additional ticket counters. Along with this, Delhi Metro has also advised the general public to buy tickets online.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has issued a statement on Sunday night regarding preparations for Rakshabandhan. In which DMRC has said that additional metro trains have been kept on standby in every corridor to deal with the rush of passengers on Rakshabandhan festival on Monday. DMRC has said that special facilities will also be provided for the extra crowd on that day by opening additional ticket counters. Not only this, additional staff will also be deployed at the stations so that there is no chaos.
Apart from preparations for passenger facilities, DMRC has also made a special request to the general public. DMRC has said that on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, passengers should give priority to buying tickets online so that they can avoid unnecessary crowds. Delhi Metro said that along with smart cards, QR tickets can be purchased through various means like DMRC Momentum 2.0 WhatsApp, Paytm, One Delhi, Amazon Pay. Apart from this, Customer Facilitation Agents (CFAs) will also be deployed at major stations to help and guide passengers.
