Katihar, 29 August (HS). The DM on Thursday conducted a physical inspection of the under-construction power sub-station Salmari, block-cum-anchal office Azamnagar and waste processing unit Panchayat-Danihan block-Azamnagar under Barsoi subdivision area.

During the said inspection, the ongoing works in the under construction power sub-station Salmari were reviewed in which wire wiring, polling, grid related works were inspected. Also, the contractor informed that the work is being done at a fast pace to complete the work on time and all types of materials have been made available. The power sub-station will be ready as soon as possible.

Assistant Executive Engineer of Electricity Supply Division Barsoi told that this power sub-station will supply electricity in the area of ​​8 panchayats and the general public here will get electricity supply normally and the problem of electricity supply will end as soon as possible, along with this, power sub-station Salmari will be built and all types of work will be completed by 2 October 2024 and electricity will be supplied. During the inspection, the District Officer also discussed with the general public about electricity related problems and suggestions and assured that after the power sub-station is built, electricity will be supplied normally to the people under Salmari Power Sub-Station.

In the course of this inspection, the DM also conducted a surprise physical inspection of the Block cum Anchal Office Azamnagar. In the course of inspection, the District Officer first inspected the cleanliness and maintenance of government documents in the building and office premises of the Block Office and Anchal Office, and important files related to the office. After that, the District Officer organized a review meeting regarding welfare schemes in the Block Office. In which he received detailed information regarding the updated status of various development schemes run by the government, schemes related to NITI Aayog, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Chief Minister Housing Site Purchase Scheme, MNREGA Scheme, schemes run under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan and other important schemes run by the government and the problems arising in the running schemes. Along with this, the Child Development Scheme Officer Azamnagar also discussed the facilities given to children and pregnant women under Anganwadi on the basis of the habitual report and gave necessary guidelines.
