Saharsa, 03 July (HS). District Magistrate Vaibhav Chaudhary inspected the SDRF unit operated under the E Kisan Bhawan of the block mentioned during his visit to Navhatta block on Wednesday. During the inspection, the District Magistrate became aware of the preparations made to deal with disaster situations. On the said occasion, he checked the functioning of various equipment used in disaster situations such as wireless sets and directed that all the officials working in the SDRF Center should be trained regarding the operation of all the equipment used in disaster situations.
During the inspection, he observed other available resources like generator set, material available for first aid, tower lights etc. He also instructed that the functioning of all available equipment should be ensured. The officer became aware of the preparations made to deal with flood-related situations. He instructed the concerned Executive Engineer to ensure necessary action for continuous supervision of the embankment.
On the spot, the Circle Officer, Navhatta has been directed to ensure that unregistered boats are not operated under any circumstances. Also, the prescribed number of passengers should be operated through registered boats. Instructions have been given to supervise this. Also, instructions have been given to make arrangements for generators on sensitive spurs. During the inspection, the officer in charge, disaster management, Circle Officer, Navhatta and other concerned were present.
