Champawat, March 01 (Hindustan Reporter) District Magistrate Navneet Pandey held a meeting with the representatives of the temple committee Maa Varahi Dham Devidhura, Reetha Sahib and Maa Purnagiri and officials of various departments regarding the preparation of DPR of the master plan. In the meeting, regarding the Devidhura Master Plan, it was informed that under the Manaskhand Temple Mala, a proposal of Rs 12 crore 53 lakh has been sent to the government by the Public Works Department, in which along with various infrastructure facilities in this area, temple precincts, pathway construction, temple construction etc. Construction of, development of various facilities throughout the year for the visiting devotees were discussed.
In the meeting with the representatives of Maa Varahi Temple, it was decided that the temple committee Devidhura will do the work of renovation of the temple and construction of gate near the temple at its own expense. Apart from this, a total of three gates on Haldwani (Nainital) Road, Lohaghat Road and Parikrama Marg will be constructed in Kumaoni style by the Public Works Department. Along with the Parikrama Marg, work of hot mix, road improvement, drain construction, drainage system and road construction will be done in GIC Helipad and local market.
During the discussion on the master plan of Reetha Sahib in the meeting, the District Magistrate made mutual coordination with the Tourism Department, Public Works Department, Irrigation etc. departments for better connectivity, parking, rain shelter, bridge construction, land erosion prevention, ghat beautification, flood protection in the area. Instructions were given to expedite the work of beautification of the confluence of Ladhiya and Ratiya rivers, renovation of old buildings and infrastructure facilities.
During the meeting, discussions were held with representatives of the temple committee regarding development of various facilities in Purnagiri area. The District Magistrate instructed the field officer from the Forest Department to provide a map regarding the forest, revenue and private land of the area. Besides, instructions were given to the officer of Public Works Department to prepare DPR soon for making road and double lane from Thuligad to Bhairav Temple in the area. Along with this, construction of road from Poth to Kotkendri and Selagad to Kotkendri in the area, construction of parikrama patra in the temple area, drinking water system, parking construction etc. were also discussed.
