Forbesganj/Araria, 20 September (HS). Araria District Magistrate Anil Kumar today conducted a surprise inspection of Jokihat Block Office. During the tour of the area, the District Magistrate gave many necessary instructions to the concerned officials. During the inspection, the District Magistrate reviewed the status of housing construction, works done under MNREGA, tap water, installation of solar lights in panchayats, smart meters, operation of Anganwadi centers, updated status of e-KYC of ration card holders under National Food Security Scheme, etc.
During the review, the District Magistrate directed to identify the type of complaints people bring regarding land survey and ensure their resolution. During the review of housing construction, it was told that approval has been given for construction of 741 new houses in Jokihat block, in which the first installment amount has been paid to 457. The District Magistrate directed to issue helpline number for housing construction and to publicize it through flasks. During the review of MNREGA works, instructions were given to issue labor cards as per the set target.
During the review of Nal Ka Jal, it was told that 382 schemes are operational, out of which 13 are closed. The District Magistrate directed to initiate further action regarding this as soon as possible. The District Officer also directed the Executive Engineer Electricity to spread awareness among the people about smart meters.
He said that smart meters will be installed in all block areas. Along with this, for authenticity, a check meter should be installed along with a smart meter at all block level so that people become aware about the smart meter. In the meeting, the district magistrate reviewed the iron removal plant, information on paddy lifting in PACS, installation of solar lights in panchayats, updated status of e-KYC of ration card holders under National Food Security Scheme, etc. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Disaster Management Araria, District Panchayat Raj Officer Araria, Assistant Director Social Security Cell, along with district and block level officers were present.
