DM and SP did a joint briefing to the counting workers

East Champaran, 03 June (HS). On Monday, DM and SP did a joint briefing to all the magistrates and police officers deputed for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections. On the occasion, District Election Officer cum DM Saurabh Jorwal and Police Captain Kantesh Kumar Mishra said that on June 4, the counting of votes for 03 East Champaran Parliamentary Constituency and 04 Sheohar Parliamentary Constituency is to be held at MS College in Motihari, work in accordance with the joint order issued in this regard.

All the magistrates and police officers must read the copy of the joint order once and will be present at their place of posting at 5:00 am to maintain law and order and will remain at their duty place till the counting work is completed. The DM said that no officer and employee will be allowed to enter the counting center without an identity card. Identity cards have been issued to all the officers and employees. Entry without an identity card is strictly prohibited.

He said that separate parking has been made for two-wheelers and four-wheelers in the field of MS College. All the officers and workers using vehicles will park their vehicles at the designated place only. Mobiles have been completely banned at the counting center. Magistrates deputed at the drop gate were instructed to strictly check mobiles and ensure this.

The DM said that all the workers and officers will behave decently. There will be no discrimination against anyone. The main entrance of MS College has been closed for going to the counting center. For this, entry will be given from the side of the water tank in front of the railway rate point. Candidates contesting the election and their agents will also be given entry from this route.

The SP said that CCTV cameras have been installed at various places near the counting centre. All the sub-divisional officers, sub-divisional police officers, block development officers, circle officers and police station in-charges have been instructed to increase patrolling in their respective areas and remain fully alert. During the joint briefing, Deputy Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner Motihari, Special Officer and all senior officers of the district were present.
