This Diwali special session will run from 6 to 7 pm. Let us tell you that every year on the occasion of Diwali, the stock market opens for one hour and special trading takes place. It marks the beginning of the new year, Samvat 2081 according to the Hindu calendar.
What has BSE said?
According to the official website of BSE, Muhurta trading will take place on 01 November 2024 (Diwali- Lakshmi Puja). Muhurta trading timings will be informed later. BSE has also said that it may make changes in the holidays offered on the exchange, for which a separate circular will be issued in advance.

Muhurat trading takes place on the occasion of Diwali, a major festival for Indian investors. Many traders believe that Muhurta trading brings good luck for the coming year. Regular stock trading remains closed during the festival. Muhurta trading remains open for one hour. This tradition of Muhurta trading has been going on in the stock market for 68 years.
