FreeLPG Cylinder: Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to give a big gift to women before Diwali. This year on Diwali, the UP government will provide free LPG cylinders to 1.85 crore beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. In this regard, CM Yogi Adityanath has issued an order and directed the officials to make all kinds of arrangements before Diwali, so that all the beneficiaries can get the benefits of this scheme on time.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath said in his order that on the occasion of Diwali, free LPG cylinders will be distributed to all the beneficiaries of 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana'. All formalities in this regard should be completed on time. In any case, LPG cylinders should be available at the homes of all the beneficiaries before Diwali.
Last year 85 lakh beneficiaries got free cylinders
This year, the UP government will provide free LPG cylinders to 1.85 crore beneficiaries on Diwali under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Last year, 85 lakh women beneficiaries got free LPG cylinders under this scheme. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, apart from Diwali, free LPG cylinder will also be given on Holi.
Central and state government will give subsidy
Let us tell you that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the Central Government is giving a subsidy of Rs 300 on LPG cylinder, while the rest of the money will be given by the State Government. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme will first have to get LPG cylinder. After this the subsidy amount will be sent to their account. However, the bank account has to be linked to the Aadhar card.
