Varanasi, 27 November (HS). North Eastern Railway has shown alertness regarding the preparations and arrangements regarding the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela-2025 on the banks of Prayagraj Sangam. Railway officials are also continuously inspecting to provide convenience, safety and proper facilities to the passengers coming to the fair. On Wednesday, Divisional Railway Manager Varanasi Vineet Kumar Srivastava along with divisional officials inspected the window trailing of Banaras-Prayagraj Rambagh railway section and tested the preparations. He also tested the safety and operational speed of this railway section.
DRM also inspected Jhunsi and Prayagraj Rambagh stations for the management of Kumbh special trains and to provide proper passenger facilities to the devotees coming to the Maha Kumbh Mela. In the same sequence, during the inspection of Prayagraj Rambagh station, the Divisional Railway Manager observed the new passenger reservation centre, unreserved ticket counter, permanent passenger shelter centre, temporary food and water vending stalls, waiting rooms, additional ticket counters, tea stalls built for the convenience of the fair passengers. , water booths, entry and exit points, permanent and temporary platforms, passenger shed, RCC benches, renovation of old foot over bridge, temporary passenger and officer Also took stock of rest rooms, passenger waiting rooms, CCTV surveillance, barricading and boundary walls for security and proper crowd management.
Before this, during the inspection of Jhunsi station, the Divisional Railway Manager had observed the passenger shelter center built in the circulating area of the second entry gate of the station, RCC boundary wall built for security, high mast light for proper lighting, permanent toilet and bathroom built for fair passengers, Also seen were temporary toilets and approach road for movement of passengers at night. During this, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Sheikh Rahman, Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer Rajat Priya, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner S Ramakrishnan, Senior Divisional Engineer III Anuj Verma, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (General) Pankaj Kesharwani etc. were also present.
