Ghaziabad, May 30 (HS). Preparations for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections on June 4 are in the final stage. Meerut Divisional Commissioner Selva Kumari J. conducted a surprise inspection of the counting venue on Thursday. During the inspection, she instructed the officials to conduct the counting peacefully with cleanliness and transparency.
The Divisional Commissioner directed that the nets installed for security should not be barbed or sharp so that no harm of any kind is caused. He said that the personnel engaged in the elections and other people including media persons should not face any problem regarding basic facilities.
During the inspection, ADM E Ranvijay Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Arun Kumar, District Supply Officer Dr. Seema Baliyan and District Information Officer Yogendra Pratap Singh along with other officers/employees were present.
