Meerut, 22 August (HS). Meerut Divisional Commissioner Selva Kumari J. inspected the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) located at PL Sharma District Hospital on Thursday. The Divisional Commissioner talked to the family members of the children admitted in the centre and took note of their health.
Divisional Commissioner Selva Kumari J. checked all the records in NRC and inspected the kitchen. Information regarding the treatment of admitted children was taken from the hospital staff and guidelines were given regarding the follow-up done by them. The Commissioner distributed fruits as gifts to the mothers of the children admitted in NRC and toys to the children.
The commissioner said that in rural areas, ASHA and Anganwadi workers should identify children and get them admitted to NRC so that the general public can get maximum benefit. The commissioner also inspected the ICU of the district hospital. Three patients were admitted in the ICU. Information was taken regarding the availability and functionality of the oxygen plant. After inspecting the emergency department, instructions were given to keep a watch while providing health services to the patients.
On this occasion, CDO Nupur Goyal, Additional Director Dr. Rajendra Singh, CMO Dr. Ashok Kataria, District Hospital Medical Superintendent Kaushalendra Singh, NRC in-charge Dr. Shriom etc. were present.
