Bhagalpur, July 13 (HS). A meeting was organized in Bhagalpur on Saturday regarding the world famous Shravani fair. The meeting was chaired by divisional commissioner Dinesh Kumar. During this, the divisional commissioner discussed several points with the officials.
The DM, SP of Bhagalpur and Banka districts and senior police officials were also present in the meeting. The divisional commissioner also took a review of the inspection of Sultanganj Ajgaibinath from DM Nawal Kishore Chaudhary and also discussed the special preparations for the Shravani Mela. Guidelines were also given for improving the condition of the Ganga Ghats and building roads for the Kanwarias. It is worth mentioning that every year before the month of Shravan, the district administration and the police administration make preparations on a war footing.
Every year lakhs of devotees take water from the northern stream of Ganga from Sultanganj Ajaibinath Dham to Baba's city Deoghar. All the main points were discussed in this divisional level meeting. The divisional commissioner directed the officers to immediately rectify the shortcomings. While the responsibility was given to the police captains of both the districts to ensure that the police remains alert in terms of law and order. All the top officers of the division were present during the meeting.
