Jammu, 23 October (HIST). District Social Welfare Department of Kathua organized an impressive awareness program on Drug Free India Campaign at an institute in Kathua. Led by the Sankalp HEW team, the event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and the important role of youth in building a drug-free society.
The HEW team gave practical presentations focusing on how drug addiction is destroying the foundations of communities and emphasized the importance of youth involvement in curbing this menace. The participants were educated about the serious effects of drug abuse on individuals and society. Practical strategies to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle were also explained.
A key message of the program was the responsibility of youth in shaping a better future. As future leaders of society, they were encouraged to take an active stance against drug addiction and become role models for their peers. The program concluded with all the participants taking an oath to work towards a drug-free society.
