District Magistrate inspected the barracks and buildings in the Central Jail | News India

Varanasi, 08 October (Hindustan Reporter). District Magistrate S. Rajalingam inspected the barracks and buildings built in the Central Jail located at Shivpur on Tuesday. During this, he gave necessary directions to the officials of the executing organization and the concerned department.

The project manager of the executing agency UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam said that the structural work of 48 houses in a total of eight blocks for the prison policemen to live has been completed. Finishing work is going on. Plumbing, painting and coating work is going on in it. Apart from this, against the 450 capacity of 15 barracks being built for prisoners, handover of 270 capacity has been done and the remaining work is in progress.

The District Magistrate directed the project manager to increase the number of laborers and complete the remaining work expeditiously by October 15. He also took information about the number of people working as masons, labourers, painters and plumbing etc. on the spot. He went to the barrack rooms and took stock of the arrangements of windows, doors, bathrooms, basins, toilets and checked the quality of plaster etc.

The District Magistrate inspected the “Kaushalam Centre” built in the premises of the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology and maintained by the Government Industrial Training Institute Mahila World Bank, Chowkaghat. Here took information from the Principal of ITI about the machines like CNC, Paint Sparrow Booth, Plumbing etc. subsidized by Tata Technology and the education session for children.

He took information from the officers of the executing organization about the building under construction in front of Kaushalam Centre. Apart from this, he also inspected the Urban Haat built behind the Girija Devi Cultural Complex auditorium located at Chowkaghat. He directed the tourism department to clean the shops and the executing agency to clean the roads. Here a sculptor presented an idol of Lord Ganesha made of clay to the District Magistrate.
