Hamirpur, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter). District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena on Wednesday evening shared the happiness of the upcoming Diwali festival by distributing sweets and fruits to 104 elderly people in view of the Diwali festival in the old age home located near Yamuna Bridge in the city.
District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate Judicial Dr. Nagendra Nath Yadav and CDO Chandra Shekhar Shukla distributed fruits and sweets to 104 elderly people living there and inquired about their well-being and received their blessings. The District Magistrate also distributed assistive devices to the elderly. Assistive devices include 10 walking sticks, 4 wheel chairs, 4 hearing aids. The District Magistrate said that health checkups of the elderly should be done regularly. From time to time, medical camps for the elderly should also be organized in old age homes and they should be looked after. He said that the administration has full support for the elderly people. I pray to God that his life goes well and that he remains healthy and prosperous. He directed that the operators of the old age home should do the best they can for the elderly. He said that no elderly person should face health related or any other problem. The program was conducted by Jalees Khan. On this occasion, District Social Welfare Officer Ram Shankar Patel and other concerned people were present.
