Deoria, 30 April (HIST). District Magistrate Akhand Pratap Singh and Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of the District Jail on Tuesday and investigated the activities of the jail. No objectionable material was found during inspection.

Expressed satisfaction over drinking water and sanitation system. DM obtained information regarding availability of medicines and OPD. He obtained information regarding the facilities being provided as per the jail manual.
During this time, he reached each barrack in the campus and saw the situation there, and also asked the prisoners and prisoners living in the barracks about their problems. The prisoners were assured that their problems would be resolved soon.
