District Magistrate Amethi seen in the fields in the scorching sun

Amethi, April 10 (HS) On Wednesday afternoon in the scorching heat, Amethi District Magistrate Nisha Anant reached Gram Panchayat Behta under development block Gauriganj and got the crop cutting done to know the production of wheat crop in the district.

During this, the District Magistrate along with the team of Revenue and Agriculture Department in Gram Panchayat Behta reached the farm of farmer Meera wife Haribax Singh, Pragati Singh son Haribax Singh and Shyamali wife Suresh Chandra Mishra and got the crop cutting of 43.03 square meter wheat crop done in front of him and Weighing was also done, which came out to be 14.200 kg and 13.300 kg respectively.

It is noteworthy that crop cutting data is of utmost importance for paying compensation to farmers under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. During this, the District Magistrate established direct communication with the farmer brothers and also appealed to the farmers to sell wheat at their nearest purchasing center.

He said that farmers should sell wheat at the government wheat purchasing center so that they can get a fair price. He informed that the minimum support price of wheat has been fixed at Rs.2275 per quintal. Along with this, he also appealed to the farmer brothers not to burn crop residues in their fields.

On this occasion, the District Magistrate appealed to the farmer brothers present to vote for themselves and their surrounding people on 20th May 2024 in view of the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024. He said that people living outside should be asked to talk to them through phone and vote. On this occasion, Tehsildar Gauriganj Abhay Raj, Statistics Officer, Revenue Inspector, Accountant and farmer brothers were present.
