District Election Officer's hard work paid off, huge voting took place in Barabanki district

Barabanki, 20 May (HS). Voting was completed peacefully in the entire district in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Till the time of writing the news, about 68 percent voting had taken place in the entire district. Voting started at 7 in the morning and there was a huge crowd at the first booths, but there was silence in the afternoon. Voting increased again after 3 o'clock. By 5 pm it had gone up to about 64.38 percent.

It is due to the hard work of the District Magistrate that by 9:00 in the morning, more than 20 percent voting had taken place. Till 05:00 pm, the total voting percentage was -64.38 including Assembly Sadar- 63.27, Assembly Chair- 68.11, Assembly Zaidpur- 65.91, Assembly Haidergarh- 60.95, Assembly Ramnagar- 64.23.

Even at the last hour of voting at 6 pm, people cast their votes in large numbers. In Ramnagar, voting was affected for half an hour due to the slip getting stuck in the VV Pad machine. After informing the Sector Magistrate, employees from the tehsil arrived and installed the new machine. Then the voting started. At around 12 noon, 351 votes had been cast in Katiyara booth number 167 of Block Ramnagar. After this, when a woman came to vote, her slip got stuck in the VV pad machine due to which other people were not able to vote. Presiding Officer Mohammad Farooq called the Sector Magistrate and dialed the Tehsil phone, then after half an hour a new VV Pad machine was installed. After this voting started. There were 351 votes cast in the old machine, it was sealed anyway.

At 10:30 am, 30 percent votes were cast at booth number 231 in Block Development Office, Ramnagar. At around 11 o'clock, 257 out of 718 voters had cast their votes at booth number 98 of East Secondary School, Ramwapur. At 12:05, 263 out of 674 votes had been cast in Semrai sensitive booth number 95 and 358 out of 788 votes had been cast in booth number 96. Peaceful voting took place here.

At 12:40, 397 out of 1304 votes had been cast in booth number 101 Mahmoodpur. Due to the heat, there was silence at many places from 11 am to 2 pm. At around 1 o'clock, 738 out of 924 voters had cast their votes at booth number 122 of Allapur Ranimau. At 1.30 pm, 407 out of 770 voters had cast their votes at booth number 127 of Sundhiyamau. At 2:26 pm, 640 out of 1122 voters had cast their votes at booth number 175 of Amlora. At booth number 203 of Malauli, 680 out of 1297 votes were cast at 3:30 in the day, while at the other booth, 638 out of 1091 votes were cast. After 4:00 pm, the voting percentage increased and in booth number 282 of Malpur Arsanda, 171 out of 700 voters had cast their votes, which was about 65 percent voting. At 5:15, 516 votes out of 693 voters had been cast at booth number 215 of Dal Sarai. Here too there was about 70 percent voting. Gradually as the evening progressed the voting percentage was increasing. The final report is yet to come.
