District Election Officer inspected polling stations


Dumka, April 2 (HS). District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Anjaneyulu Dodde inspected the polling booth on Tuesday for the preparations for the Lok Sabha general elections. Inspection was done of the vulnerable polling station built in the middle school of Kulango, a remote village of Ranibahal Panchayat of Sadar block.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to provide the facilities prescribed by the Election Commission at vulnerable polling stations. The Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with the local people and gave complete information about the Lok Sabha general elections. Informed voters about the correct use of their franchise. There will be strong security arrangements at the polling stations to ensure free, fair and peaceful voting in the district.

The concerned officers have been instructed to complete all the necessary work to conduct the voting in a convenient manner at their respective polling centres. He told the officials that information related to the polling station, polling station number etc. and other information should be written outside the polling station. There should be proper arrangements so that voters do not face any kind of problem in reaching the polling station.
