Dhanbad, 16 October (HIST). District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra held a meeting with representatives of political parties at the Collectorate on Wednesday. During this, model code of conduct, election expenses and other points were discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner said that with the announcement of Lok Sabha elections 2024, along with the Model Code of Conduct, prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023 is also in force in the district.
He said that now it is mandatory for the political party to take permission on the Suvidha portal for organizing every program. For this, you can easily get permission by applying online on the Suvidha portal. Video surveillance team will be present in every program.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all the candidates will provide correct information about the expenditure incurred during the elections to the expenditure cell. He requested everyone to be cautious about the Model Code of Conduct and ensure that the instructions of the Election Commission of India are followed.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed the political parties about the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
Meanwhile, ADM Law and Order Piyush Sinha said that any person or political party should put the party flag or symbol outside their vehicle or motorcycle, residence or office after taking permission. Remove various designation boards from vehicles. Apply on Suvidha Portal on time for any event. On receipt of application, permission will be granted on first come first serve policy.
