District Coordination Committee meeting held, progress of various departments reviewed | News India

Katihar, 02 September (HS). A review meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held in the NIC auditorium on Monday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Meena. In the meeting, officials of various departments presented the progress report of their departments.

In the meeting, the works of disaster management, education, health, welfare, minority welfare, industry, cooperation, election-related rationalization, NITI Aayog and other related departments were reviewed. The District Magistrate directed various departments to expedite their works and work on priority basis.

In the meeting, instructions were given to ensure panchayat-wise scrutiny of the applications received for 16 out of 18 trades under the Vishwakarma Yojana and to make the report available to the district headquarters within a week after scrutinizing the applicants on the basis of the report under the Vishwakarma Yojana.

During the review, instructions were given to ensure the provision of mid-day meals in schools under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme run by the Education Department, to provide health insurance coverage to poor families under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme run by the Health Department, to provide pension amount to eligible beneficiaries on time under the Pension Scheme run by the Welfare Department, and to provide scholarships to minority students under the Scholarship Scheme run by the Minority Welfare Department.

Additional Deputy Development Commissioner, Collector, Collector Disaster, District Education Officer, District Planning Officer, Director DRDA, Deputy Election Officer, District Panchayati Raj Officer, District Public Relations Officer-cum-Senior Deputy Collector, Deputy Director Minority Welfare Katihar, Assistant Director Social Security and other district level coordination committee officials were present in the meeting.
