Saharsa, 25 July (HS). District Congress organised a protest demonstration at Shankar Chowk on Thursday under the leadership of District President Mukesh Kumar Jha in protest against the barbaric lathicharge on unarmed youth leaders and party officials of Bihar Pradesh Youth Congress who were protesting in Patna a few days ago. District President Mr. Jha said that Nitish ji's double engine government has become angry and violent, due to which it is using force on government employees or political party protesters. Yesterday, unarmed Youth Congress leaders and workers were beaten up in Patna by lathi charge on the demand of unemployment, inflation, rigging in NEET exam, special status and package for the state, in which the police broke the heads of dozens of people by hitting them with lathis. Due to which many workers were injured.

He said that the constitution has given the right to all the parties of the democratic system and the general public to hold peaceful non-violent dharna-demonstration. The ruling party is violating these democratic rights and is acting arbitrarily. The district president demanded a judicial inquiry into the lathi charge incident and said that the injured protesters should be provided proper medical treatment. Senior Congress leader Keshar Kumar Singh said that Nitish's government has become useless and has mortgaged its conscience and the state's prestige to Modiji. There is a direct proof of this that in the Lok Sabha elections, Nitishji had asked for votes from the public in the name of special state status and special economic package to the state, but Modiji did not even pay attention to it.

State representative Ram Sagar Pandey, senior vice president Kumar Hira Prabhakar, Tarani Rishidev, Manoj Kumar Mishra, Chamaklal Yadav, Surendra Chaudhary, Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sajan Sharma, Birendra Paswan, INTUC president Satyanarayan Chaupal, women's district president Rekha Jha, vice president Pratibha Singh, Asha Devi, Ruby Devi, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Divkant Giri, Mohd Saqir Hussain, Babul Singh, Mrityunjay Singh, Pranav Kumar Suman, Sanoj Paswan, Bechan Paswan, Baidhanth Jha, Mangal Jha, Mohd Gayasuddin Khan, Devendra Chaudhary, Devendra Sharma, Afroz Alam Khan, Manoj Sada, Permit Kumar, Subham Kumar and others were present in today's demonstration.
