Kolkata, July 26 (HS). Indian literature has a profound impact on society and it is an important medium to connect society. This is what famous Marathi critic Ashutosh Adoni said. He was speaking as the keynote speaker in a program organized by the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Government of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies and Indian Cultural Trust.
In his speech, Ashutosh Adoni said that literature is a medium that connects the society and expresses the problems, emotions and culture of the society. He said that the literature of 22 languages of India is very rich and these languages have played an incomparable role in preserving Indian civilization and culture. The cultural heritage of the country can be saved only by carrying forward this tradition.
Dr. Sarup Prasad Ghosh, Director of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, also said on this occasion that literature is an important part of the progress and change of society. Literature highlights various aspects of society and contributes to the overall progress of society. The literature of Indian languages has always cherished nationalism and religious sentiments.
The objective of this program was to spread awareness in the society through literature and to highlight the various problems of the society. The program concluded with a resolution to further strengthen the relationship between literature and society. Nilanjana Rai from the Indian Cultural Trust said that the discussion was very fruitful.
